Radio Pulse Project
hello all, first post.
for first project, want have 2 uno boards, 1 in fixed position (uno1), , 1 in variable position(uno2), , detect precise distance between them. accuracy of couple inches fine within 10-20 foot range fine also.
this how thinking of approaching it.
uno1 send out radio pulse , start listening ultrasonic sound.
uno2 send out ultrasonic sound upon detection of radio pulse.
this sort of aviation radar "sonic return" transponder allow accurate measurement on short distances.
is feasible approach?
also, how send out radio pulse uno1 uno2 can detect it? no information needs passed.

why not use ultrasonic transducer pair? 1 sends pulses, other receives them reflected, time difference on 2 radial transit time, can converted distance,
