Issue receiving and opening PDFs
a company business sends diagrams , other information in pdf format via email. claim when send email, files pdfs. however, when receive email, there no pdf attachments. rather, there file called winmail.dat, which, when opened, bunch of gibberish in notepad (as .dat files are, experience). why these files not come through pdfs? know if issue computer or sender's. can open other pdfs downloaded internet or other attachments fine. appreciated.
installed on computer:
adobe reader 8.1.2
windows xp home
avg free edition 7.5 (maybe has problem?)
mozilla thunderbird (email client)

ask them zip files before sending, , see happens.
