Thread: excessive (15min+) boot time caused by dmraid

i have truecrypt partition on nvidia fakeraid raid0. therefore there no data recognizeable ubuntu's kernel on startup , think causing big slowdown me every time boot up, takes on ten minutes every time. attached bootchart results.
know how remove dmraid startup process. can't find scripts in /etc/rc*.d , of information can find on these forums how enable dmraid on boot, not disable it. manually using dmraid takes no time @ all, did before kernel upgrade since ubuntu didn't put dmraid in startup process. can't see why takes dmraid ten minutes detect raid devices now! clue can see in startup process splash screen disabled talks examining inodes on both drives in array , goes on spit out stuff raid 0, raid1, raid2, raid3, raid4 , on , on seems loading raid arrays don't exist , never have.
if bootchart gurus have advice, please feel free throw me bone, in fear of restarting!

for found because have same problem: solved excessive boot time issues (booting in under minute) disabling dmraid @ boot. done adding nodmraid kernel options. illustrate this, following grub entry latest kernel:

the root hd0,3 part linux installation, slitaz, can read grub file. ubuntu detects slitaz , copies kernel , boot information slitaz not necessary use slitaz primary boot partition , use version of grub. else works fine ubuntu too, can omit root hd0,3 part because ubuntu uses different method of identifying disks , partitions.

Arduino Uno + KTY81/210 temperature sensor

hi, sorry, new , unsure lot of things, need clarification. haven't found information explains how , why things work, "do this, that" i following guide ( arduino-thermistor-temperature-sensor-tutorial ) connect thermistor arduino uno. here temperature sensor information: temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 part.no.:   kty81-210 name:   temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 description:   2.5mm, 1980...2020ohm, -55...+150°c and here sensor's data-sheet: sensor data-sheet i have connected same way in guide. works , values being serial printed. what don't understand: 1. thermistor's , resistor's ohm value should equal, correct? in case 2000 ohm? 2. thermistor has ptc, i'm guessing have invert math or use ntc thermistor instead correct values?
