Thread: Compaq w200 wireless card on n610c not working


i have compaq n610c laptop equipped w200 wireless card on lid of laptop. works fine on xp. formatted hdd , installed ubuntu 9.10. wired network works fine , i've updated latest updates etc...

wireless won't work. i've followed instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/wi...ice/compaqw200. going fine until have compile. tried make command , following.

know of fix or updated version of driver ubuntu 9.10 ?

i have problem. got exact same errors when tried compile. guide gives link http://osdir.com/ml/linux-wireless/2.../msg00460.html have 9.10, site not contain actual directions.

helpful if more knowledgeable myself sum me needs done compile , use orinoco_usb using ubuntu 9.10 / 2.6.31-20-generic. part confuses me (i new when comes linux/ubuntu) how use 'updates' provided david gerard in guide(which says have if using 9.10).

appreciated. if other info needed, please let me know.
