Thread: impossible to edit "grub.cfg"

hi,
in order customize grub menu entries, i've tried edit file grub.cfg (the old "menu.lst" in ubuntu 9.04) path /boot/grub/
problem seems impossible me modify file, root permissions??!!

on terminal did:

code:
sudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg
gedit opens but, when tried save file, after changes (overwriting old version)an error message appears telling read-only file , cannot modified.

there's me understand why i'm not able change config file?

have here, may have seen notice @ top of grub.cfg, aren't supposed edit directly. if want edit grub.cfg ignoring warning, make backup copy first. have change permissions of grub.cfg edit it. once finished edit make sure change permission originally.

original permissions 444, set them 777 , should have 0 problems editing file.

remeber: you should heed warning @ top of file

Sketch upload fails with Java error (___REMOVE___/bin/avrdude)!

Arduino Uno + KTY81/210 temperature sensor

hi, sorry, new , unsure lot of things, need clarification. haven't found information explains how , why things work, "do this, that" i following guide ( arduino-thermistor-temperature-sensor-tutorial ) connect thermistor arduino uno. here temperature sensor information: temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 part.no.:   kty81-210 name:   temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 description:   2.5mm, 1980...2020ohm, -55...+150°c and here sensor's data-sheet: sensor data-sheet i have connected same way in guide. works , values being serial printed. what don't understand: 1. thermistor's , resistor's ohm value should equal, correct? in case 2000 ohm? 2. thermistor has ptc, i'm guessing have invert math or use ntc thermistor instead correct values?
