Need assistance creating functions
i building complete hydroponics controller and, , have hit road block in planning out how plumbing managed in code. project consists of ethermega connected blynk can run sketch independently while forwarding sensor data smartphone blynk app, , have ability issue commands through app executed on arduino. date, have single dht22 sensor, ds3231 rtc , 8 channel relay control ac~ devices. accomplished merging sketch blynk sketch , have acquired networkability liking, , want tackle plumbing circuits , respective code.
now have 8 peristaltic pump unit made combining 2 4 head pump units, , drive respective 12v motors sparkfun tb6612 motor drivers, have on hand bunch of tip120 darlingtons if find work better in project. yet discover absolute current draw of each motor, doubt ever encounter stall. also, on spin unlikely, have flyback diodes use if needed. also, there of 3 different water pumps (160 gph), , 13 valves still need manufacture, intend control them push or pull type spring loaded solenoids.
about once every 7 10 days, traditionally change out reservoir contents , rebuild. includes emptying spent nutrient , water mixtures, adding in fresh reverse osmosis (ro) filtered water, , adding in nutrients , supplements according recipe. though intend 1 day these recipes saved in code, i'd motors turning when manually queued blynk app. holdup don't yet know how use functions can recalled @ later time. have difficulty identifying means of spelling out arithmetic problems, or knowing how many variables need gather put needed data desired action.
