Thread: [karmic] Disabling filename encryption on an encrypted home directory...

...does know how that?

not using filename encryption when create new encrypted folder easy, how disable in home encryption automatically set karmic installation cd?

i had this. mount options determined @ runtime pam module reading in private.sig file. means encoded @ install time ecryptfs-setup-private script.

means difficult or impossible change option on fly or after install. way can see copy data out backup , run,

ecryptfs-setup-private --undo

give instructions removing current encrypted home.

, follow tutorial creating new encrypted home choosing option non-encrypted filenames. means follow article below add "--no-fnek" option ecryptfs-setup-private command (which not discussed in tutorial because it's not default).

looks me way i have not tried this. make sure backup in case goes wrong.
