Maplin motor shield

i've purchased 1 of these , i'm trying find demo code it. (although imagine shields made different companies should compatible, right? ). instruction leaflet provided unit says 'download motor shield demo code , open motor_shield_demo_code sketch' . have tried finding haven't succeeded. nearest got this page has  link download goes blank text page.
can point me demo code this? i'm new arduino start guaranteed work. (i intend drive dc motors @ stage, not stepper motor)

although many shields use l298 driver chip, each manufacturer decide arduino pins go l298 pins.

controlling l298 in not difficult, , if @ variety of arduino sketches you'll see definite similarities. success depends on knowing arduino pin what.

l298 uses pins called ena , enb, , in1, 2, 3 , 4. ena enables in1 , 2, enb enables in3 , 4. see markings on pins? or, can (with aid of l298 data sheet showing pins) trace circuit l298 pins arduino pins?

Sketch upload fails with Java error (___REMOVE___/bin/avrdude)!

Arduino Uno + KTY81/210 temperature sensor

hi, sorry, new , unsure lot of things, need clarification. haven't found information explains how , why things work, "do this, that" i following guide ( arduino-thermistor-temperature-sensor-tutorial ) connect thermistor arduino uno. here temperature sensor information: temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 part.no.:   kty81-210 name:   temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 description:   2.5mm, 1980...2020ohm, -55...+150°c and here sensor's data-sheet: sensor data-sheet i have connected same way in guide. works , values being serial printed. what don't understand: 1. thermistor's , resistor's ohm value should equal, correct? in case 2000 ohm? 2. thermistor has ptc, i'm guessing have invert math or use ntc thermistor instead correct values?
