Thread: Non-existant cdrom2 under places on panel

i installed 9.10, , speed wonderful, second installation of karmic. first installation right after release kind of turned me off several audio , other minor reasons... long story short super os released 9.10 version , love it, except 1 annoying thing: under places says have cdrom2 drive. i'm on laptop (hp pavilion dv8000) 1 drive, ideas on how make imaginary drive disappear? when icon clicked on following error message:

unable mount cdrom2
mount: special device /dev/scd1 not exist

ideas? thanks!

from terminal window

code:
cat /etc/fstab
