New mkrzero not recognized on two different PCs

i received new mkrzero board.  cannot show on either ubuntu linux laptop or macbook pro.  when connect board via usb either computer, board appears power up.  green light on solid , orange light cycles on , off.

i've tried reset button while board plugged in - no change.

i've tried using "lsusb" on linux laptop - no change when board unplugged or plugged in.

i plugged in uno board same usb port - instantly recognized , shows in arduino ui fine.

is defective mkrzero board?  else can try?

Error Message when accessing Adobe

i downloaded recent adobe reader 8.1 , having problems opening program. i receive error message "adobe reader 8.1 has encountered problem , needs close. sorry inconvenience" i'm using windows xp i have same problem after upgrading adobe reader 7 reader 8.1.2. have repaired without success @ least 5 times. have uninstalled, downloaded, , reinstalled reader 8.1.2 @ least 5 times no success in correcting issue. i run xp media center. Adafruit Huzzah with Arduino Uno
