What device should I use?
hello everyone, please excuse simplicity of question, i'm new electronics , i've been scratching head couple of days. have borad through can control 2 nema steppers joystick modules, due space constrains, can use 1 joystick in panel, thinking of splitting joystick x , y cables 2 different pairs (each pair corresponding each 1 of motors) , use pushbutton select 1 of motors want control , display 1 being controlled. question should use this? piece i'm missing 1 question marks. please note wires representation:

also, don't need code or because want learn, know need keep learning.
thanks lot in advance!

am correct in thinking board have takes outputs 2 potentiometers control motors?
i ask because joystick has 2 potentiometers , 2 joysticks have 4 potentiometers.
perhaps can post link datasheet existing controller board?
if board connects directly potentiometers arduino solution need use arduino control digital potentiometers have same spec existing manual potentiometers.
assuming possible produce suitable signals controller board should possible use switch select motor want control.
