Default Paper Size Setting

how in blazes 1 set thing default "letter" size paper? i've spent last 30 minutes trying find stuff in "help" , "knowledgebase" (you hired manager of department microsoft, didn't you?)

if open document , print it, tries print a4. fine eurotypes, hp printer hangs , asks a4 paper. have microsoft moment, while spend 10 minutes doing 1 minute job.

it's not in "help" , it's not in "preferences". in registry? or config file?

your systems have become sophisticated. need hire old retired people or non-adobe people quality control it. may make sense you, opaque doesn't exist inside sociogram.

gene,

the default paper size not reader setting. many applications, reader uses system-wide defaults set in printer properties each printer in windows control panel. default shown unless have reader's option "choose paper source pdf page size" enabled.

you haven't said version of reader or of windows use, here sequence windows vista:

open control panel. click "hardware & sound" printers. right-click on printer in question , click printing preferences context menu. choose new paper size in appropriate tab, click ok, , exit.

the procedure other versions of windows varies, there printer properties dialog sets defaults. dialog available each printer via control panel.
