Thread: Error 15: No file Failing to boot

i appear have lost operating system -- karmic.

earlier today tried report firefox bug using apport , got message not report bug until i'd updated tzdata. unfortunately, i'm noob , don't know tzdata is.

went synaptic package manager , removed replaced tzdata. other files removed tzdata, assumed replaced when reinstalled. wrong.

didn't notice problem until turned of pc , rebooted. won't boot. message error 15: file not found. tried recovery mode under several linux kernels. no success.

help!!!

Error Message when accessing Adobe

i downloaded recent adobe reader 8.1 , having problems opening program. i receive error message "adobe reader 8.1 has encountered problem , needs close. sorry inconvenience" i'm using windows xp i have same problem after upgrading adobe reader 7 reader 8.1.2. have repaired without success @ least 5 times. have uninstalled, downloaded, , reinstalled reader 8.1.2 @ least 5 times no success in correcting issue. i run xp media center.
