Thread: Local Apache service, without an active Internet connection.

hello.

installed lamp following community documentation page, , service seems work correctly -- if (and if) have active internet connection. i'd run service locally, development , testing, , not have have active internet connection that. without active connection, apache responds "failed set sockaddr".

saw think issue discussed on forum, (frustratingly) haven't been able implement proposed solution. so, thought had better ask before did really stupid.

here clip thread, proposed solution:

permissions not issue. starting apache root, , wanted start on-boot. however, fixed problem.

changed both httpd.conf file , ssl config file both listen *:80. solved problem. think needed both listening same port same address format. suggestions, though...
i tried adding listen 127.0.0.1:80 line both files. result apache not start.

you don't add line, line should there withing first lines of config file (after comments)
listen port
can modify listen addressort
edit: think suggestion change listen *:80
* all.
