i'm having problem skype i'm hoping can with. i'm on ubuntu karmic, , running skype 2.0.0.72 -- since couldn't latest version work usb microphone. if have skype running, no other programs produce sound (i.e. amarok, vlc, flash in browser, etc.). if of programs active when start skype, skype fail produce sound & won't work properly.

there way can allow side-by-side usage of skype , other audio-producing programs, since other programs seem along fine when comes sharing audio?

audio devices in skype in case help:
sound in: usb device 0x471:0x311 (hw:u0x4710x311,0)
sound out: c-media cmi8770 (plughw:cmi8770,0)
ringing: c-media cmi8770 (plughw:cmi8770,0)

again, both current skype configuration & sound in general programs works on system -- they're not playing each other.

i think need tell skype use alsa, have checked section on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/skype

can test works running:

aoss skype
before making changes permanent.

Arduino Uno + KTY81/210 temperature sensor

hi, sorry, new , unsure lot of things, need clarification. haven't found information explains how , why things work, "do this, that" i following guide ( arduino-thermistor-temperature-sensor-tutorial ) connect thermistor arduino uno. here temperature sensor information: temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 part.no.:   kty81-210 name:   temp. sensor 2000r +-1% to92 description:   2.5mm, 1980...2020ohm, -55...+150°c and here sensor's data-sheet: sensor data-sheet i have connected same way in guide. works , values being serial printed. what don't understand: 1. thermistor's , resistor's ohm value should equal, correct? in case 2000 ohm? 2. thermistor has ptc, i'm guessing have invert math or use ntc thermistor instead correct values?
