Thread: ubuntu on a new asus eee pc?
i purchased eee pc use on road, run ubuntu? system comes preinstalled xp home, i'd remove (since i'll using netbook web browsing , python scripting, mostly). asus has "linux drivers" on website model (1005ha) bios updates, i'm wondering.
these bios updates necessary improve performance/preserve life of netbook, or fluff?
ubuntu run on this? it's 1 gb ram, intel atom 1.6 ghz processor. don't have rest of specs off top of head, ubuntu 9.04 jaunty should support of hardware, right?
thanks!
no offence meant, annoyed people asking whether 'new' eeepc runs ubuntu fine. have inherited 2007 eeepc 701 (the 1 7 inch display) , karmic runs great.
have no doubt run fine on spec machine. gl.
