Thread: Mystery ARM926 7" netbook - need help researching it
a few days ago local laptop repair place showed me thought eee pc 7". grabbed yesterday , turns out else. promising methinks, don't know sure. runs embedded windows ce.
o akarm arm926ej-s [sysinfo says arm926-akchip] 248mhz
o windows says 800x480 resolution, google tranlations of csdn.net forum pages says maybe 1066x600 in native lcd mode.
o going audio player reveals thet oem info is: anyka ak780x. led me csdn.net , dicussions of anyka dev kit [much sheevaplug dev kit].
o has 2 usb 2.0 ports, 1 port labeled usb not 2.0 , jtag interface proc.
has ethernet , wireless. no video out. sd memory slot "supposed" user stores data.
guess overgrown mobile phone full sized keyboard. retail $135. store owner says if oder "enough" [that 30-40 in town], price down in $80+ range.
worth messing with? cannot find squat on arm926 except dev boards of various flavors.
worst part? goes through post, says "hit f1 update system". when asks password. no 1 knows is. random shipment bought @ auction maybe? have tried resetting in various fashions see if can console access via mystery usb port, have accomplished have ignore me when try hit f1 ;-[ guess tried password many times... oops.
