Motion Cycle Project

i brand new arduino , elecronics. have read many posts , watched many videos on past few days make myself believe ready feet wet, or jump off cliff rather can see tackle first project.

what have button starts program, program start stepper motor cw moving carriage until hits limit switch, delay 5sec , reverse ccw until moves carriage 12".

i thinking possible not sure. thinking in order make work need arduino uno, sainsmart tb6560 - 3.5a stepper motor driver, stepper motor - bipolor nema 17 2a 84ozin, dc 24v switching power supply, breadboard testing, pack of jumper wires, 12v button, , open switch.

would able tell me if on right track? need resistors? if so, there starter kit include  common electrical components used in arduino projects?

or should starting type of arduino learning kit? if so, one?

i typically pick things quicker working on projects work toward use rather lights led, maybe best way start.

any insight appreciated.
