PWM + switching power supplies

i have been moving higher-power electronics projects , looking if there potential issues using pwm-controlled power regulation through mosfets when power source electronic circuit such switch-mode power supply.  there potential issues drawing current such sources @ highly-varying rates such @ typical pwm frequencies (~1000hz) ?  don't want damage power supply i'm using 100w power now.  thanks.

switch mode supplies have large amount of output capacitance act charge reservoir. keeps output voltage stable throughout whole switching cycle. if brief load pulses causing of transient drop, converter capable of average current output, can add more capacitance.

power supply decoupling capacitors suspension system of car; work keep power smooth , level through bumps , jostles of erratically variable load.
