Thread: Fujitsu Loox N100 PDA
chaps,
i'm pretty new whole ubuntu/linux thing, enjoying far. i've had idea bit more adventurous, aware quite possibly way beyond limits of abilities ...
have pocket pda thing. it's fujitsu siemens n100 loox. this:
http://www.ukgamer.com/articles/344/...x_n100_pn.html
specs follows:
processor samsung® 300mhz
memory ram 64 mb
gps full integrated sirfstariii chip
display 2.8-inch qvga 240 x 320 colour
it's size of pack of cards, , has sd card slot , nothing else. done via touch-screen, , on-off button , switch on side. oh, , reset button on back.
i've jailbroken it, , can access windows ce , run navigon software came (it's used sat nav device.) there couple of irritations it:
1. there no pim software on , have yet find wince, can't run diary on it. (bear in mind doesn't have pocket outlook on it.)
2. sat nav maps out of date , navigon charge load of money date ones.
so, question ... possible run slimmed-down version of linux (ubuntu or kubuntu or else) on computer? and, if so, possible run sat nav application on it, giving me linux-based portable sat nav machine? (in same way have windows-based portable sat nav machine.)
not coder, , pretty new linux game, solution ideally either easy or down well-trodden path. however, if there possiblity out there such thing i'd interested hear ...
in advance help, or comments, observations or else. *
oli.
* - "help, comments , observations" includes everything. including "you must mad think that" ...
it's unlikely able linux-based sat-nav app aforementioned pda.
if want @ least linux-powered pda, give familiar linux try: http://familiar.handhelds.org/
