Acrobat 8.1 SDK Compatibility with Reader 9?

i have visual basic application displays pdf files using axacropdf object. application developed using documentation/examples adobe acrobat 8.1 software development kit. application contains references adobe acrobat 8.0 browser control type library 1.0 , adobe acrobat 8.0 type library.

currently, pc's running application have adobe reader 8.1 installed. can install , run application (without compatibility errors) on pc has adobe reader 9 installed? or, first have incorporate adobe acrobat 9 sdk?

is there documentation addresses capatibility issues between adobe acrobat sdk , adobe reader versions?

none of items in documentation appeared relate type of pdf viewing have incorporated visual basic application.

i did not see having change references type libraries when moving adobe reader 9. great if application compatible both reader 8 , reader 9.

again, insight on subject appreciated.
