update windows xp (kb885222)
from micro$oft knowledgebase article:
>this problem occurs if connect 1394a or 1394b firewire device 1394b port. problem occurs because windows xp sp2 changes 1394b ports s100 speed when upgrade.
are using 1394b firewire port? folks not. and, if were, minidv capture negotiates speed appropriate device. since minidv transfer speed less 30 mb/s firewire hub connect @ s100 or ~100 mb/s speed.
