On disc editing?

hi, newbie here. sorry if obvious, trying learn & can't find in docs thought i'd ask here:

i used on disc editing program , though knew risky, liked because record music performances bands play on tv (leno, leterman, etc.) , collect of performances on discs (each disc per band) , within disc in date broadcast order , once +rw disc full, i'd copy +r disc , start new +rw disc band (only own personal collection though of course).

well, can't use program on new vista tower , know on disc editing has been frowned upon guess can't anymore (since don't recommend , companies feel same way bet it's not easy find programs anymore) need similar set can since have many of these discs there's no way can keep contents of them on external hard drive "in case" need reburn them , don't have time re-rip 2 hours of twenty 10 minute videos computer can reset chapter points (between songs on each show) & reauthor discs on again on , on because & on letterman last night (that's on disc came in, because go in , squeeze on "pending" +rw disc , edit existing authoring , new vid wouldn't clogging drive space) & friends of mine can send me older perfs need put in middle of older disc yes, in cases have reauthor scratch guess newer stuff...

i double boot xp on pc suppose wanted check see if possible ape7 before of that.

so let me know how if can ape7, if not, suggestions? in advance replies. :)

no. can't edit on disc, if mean adding or removing video files while leaving other files on dvd, premiere elements. in fact, depending on format you're recording these tv shows (dvd? dvr?) may not ideal program @ all, if store files on hard drive , burn them dvd once they're assembled.

a better program might sonic mydvd.
