Thread: Hard drive plugged in not recognized


i apparently learn best making mistakes. patitioning drive manually install ubuntu. it's big drive. changed mind choices , partitioner kept plugging away restarted. hard drive not recognized. asks driver or mount drive. have drive of same type bought @ approximately same time if don't see how can dd 1 drive other since first not recognized. hope there answer one. don't know go this? how fdisk drive not visible? ideas?

gparted able see drive when booting several diskrescue programs didn't... so, repartitioning drive there. suspect answer. it's big drive. while. report think may it...

you've sorted out, yes repartition drive gparted , try again.

edit: if doesn't work, boot windows (if can) , reformat drive there.
