timing

dear all, kindly need delay order , timing in general.
at examples " blink"
if wanted delay of 1 second type 1000
if 3 seconds type 3000
but if wanted delay 1 minute , mean 60000 or hour 3600000000  or ?
kindly advise need make timing specific order 7 minutes , 1 hour

the arithmetic simple make sure arithmetic unsigned longs, not ints.
