Generator voltage regulator with arduino
hello, builded electricity generator lawn mower petrol engine , inductive ac single phase motor.
in order maintan voltage must build device include
1.)switching circuit
explanation of case:
rotor of motor excited connecting capacitor parallel 0 , phase coming generator.
when put load generator voltage start drop, need connect capacitor to
maintain 240vac. example no load 5uf enough maintain 240vac, when 1000w of
load connected, 100uf cap needed in order maintain 240vac.
use more caps (5 maybe) 5uf (for no load), 4x 20uf (different number of 20uf must be
connected different loads).
what need:
i need device connect , disconnect caps individualy (via relays).
5uf capacitor connected time (so wire directly).
all capacitors must connected when voltage smaller 240v
if voltage starts greater 250v first capacitor must disconnect,
if voltage still getting greater of 250v second capacitor must disconnect,
if voltage still getting greater of 250v third capacitor must disconnect,
if voltage still getting greater of 250v fourth (last) capacitor must disconnect.
2.) servo motor controll tension of governors spring controll rpm of lawn mowers engine.
when voltage lower 250vac servo must move right in order higher rpms, when voltage
is greater 250vac servo must move left in order lower rpms.
this regulate voltage.
i understand need transformer , rectifier lower voltage max 5vdc (generator can produce 500vac, need drop voltage 100 times lower).
i understand need arduino, 4 relays, transformer, bridge rectifier , servo motor.
but there on i`m lost. i`m complete noob microcontrollers, hope me.
to power arduino use 240vac 5vac transformer >bridge rectifier> 5v voltage regulator. (this ok guess?)
when starting generator arduino off, when generator reach enough voltage turn on. (how long arduino need boot?)
my goal maintan 220vac 270vac!
