hi, sorry if has posted before. after looking through posts problem, still dont know how deal it. i've installed fresh ubuntu 9.10 (i'm using windows 7), after completing installation, may laptop rebooted following white icon of ubuntu 2 lines "ubuntu 9.10 computername tty1 ...etc" appears , not login due flickering. idea how solve this? laptop t500 lenovo ati radeon hd3650. thank much. i'm having same problem. thought solved works randomly... starts fine, other times starts in tty1 flickering login screen. it's interesting i'm unable write when screen black. flicker quick , have press keys , keep pressed, when screen showing types it's not problem of graphics card. appreciate. way, know opened post yesterday, during installation , install problem appears on startup, think it's more appropiate follow open post same problem. ...

hi, have 3 computers on home network. 2 running ubuntu (computer1 , computer2), third running winxp. unknown reason, computer1 (running ubuntu karmic) started have high latencies when try ssh it. tried ping, computer2 computer1, got : 663 packets transmitted, 109 received, +90 errors, 83% packet loss , time 662731ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 5.776/127.217/2474.276/372.263 ms, pipe 4 if try ping computer1 other computers, it's ok, if try ping between others computers, it's again ok. understand computer1 not answer/respond ping/ssh/whatever packets. may problem ? thanks. hi guys. i have done arduino based board following schematic , not able upload any  scketch using sparkfun ftdi board. using arduino ide 1.6.9 , able burn bootloader using uno, also, using uno can upload sketch, trought icsp connector. of course reburn bootloader before triying reupload sketch using ftdi board. i can´t find grong on schematic. see something? other thing? pd. between board , ftdi programer have got board connects cts pin gnd, , changes rx , tx possitions rx on board conected tx on atmega , tx rx. also, jumper closed. where decoupling capacitors? i have acrobat reader 8.1.1 installed. when try open .pdf file on web site internet explorer after few seconds of file trying load message reader has encountered problem , needs close. offered option send error report do. after report sent , window closed ie frozen , must closed using control>alt>delete. tried uninstalling reader , reinstalling problem persists. i having problem. have tried uninstall , reinstall firewall , antivirus off no avail. i'm reading document in adobe reader 8.0. document contains many mathematical symbols , greek letters. how can search character this? i've tried copy character document , paste in search box, character transformed copy-and-paste. we have upgraded latest version of tool use generate reports. older version, when exported report pdf file, open in internet broswer, ie 6/7 in case, , display pdf in browser. with latest version of reporting tool, when export report pdf file, opens blank ie windows, , subsequently opens autogenerated report in separate adobe reader window, not have primary focus. pop's under blank ie window. causes lot of confusion our employees not computer savvy not aware pdf opened since window did not primary focus on screen. the company writes tool says there no changes way auto generates pdf file, , insists has nothing software. we decided dig little deeper , found 1 difference between old , new software. old - content-type: application/pdf new - content-type: application/pdf;charset=utf-8 would command cause our problems? seems @ though adobe 7 plugin in ie7 doesn't recognize "charset=utf-8" , dumps pdf full adobe reader. if has insight, or need more info solve prob...

hello, i've got following circuit: arduino micro 2x ht16k33 led drivers (on adafruit breakout, connected i2c) 4x analog sensors connected analog inputs 100uf , 1uf in parallel in front of them (as suggested in datasheet of sensors) everything working supposed to, since connecting led drivers there lot of noise on reading of analog inputs. i connected scope , noticed it's 5v power supply coming arduino has regular noise on (see attachment). it starts 0.5v drop , in middle of cycle again noticable drop of 0.1v? maybe should mention current 100uf / 1uf combination used 1 time in front of first sensor, power , grounds parallel wired there on following 3 sensors. i suppose solvable using right capacitors in circuit? is there formula calculate values capacitors, based on noise see on scope? looks don't have star-ground setup.  how current leds take? hi, i playing around capacitive liquid level sensors , trying understand difference between mpr121 , fdc1004. obviously, fdc1004 lot more pricey mpr121. with proper shielding confused level of improvement fdc1004 has on mpr121. my experiment mpr121 have 7 copper tapes around plastic jar @ different levels connected 7 inputs of mpr121. able give me readings , results consistent. havent played around fdc 1004 breakout board 20.99, bit beginner hobbyist myself. however, if worth buy, give shot. wanted understand community thinks. anyone info. thanks hello there, maybe bit late nevertheless... the fdc1004 can return value of measured capacitance can measure liquid level more or less linearly on height of container. the mpr121 can trigger on/off 8 capacitive sensor inputs supplied on breakout boards. so depending of how accurate liquid level measurement needs can go fdc1004 (not available on ebay yet , quite expensive) or mpr121 (ebay - £1.20 ~ $1.50) regards ...

i've got both acrobat reader 7.0.8 , acrobat 8.1.3. want browsers use acrobat reader when pdf link clicked. things i've tried.... in explorer set file type .pdf opened adobe reader, browsers still open pdf links using acrobat. acrobat turn off preference display in browser reader run detect , repair this seems work until run acrobat , resets everything. i saw link suggesting changing hklm\software\classes\software\adobe\acrobat\exe point acrord32.exe that didn't work, after reboot. is possible or acrobat run pdf link in browser if installed on machine? hallo, das es geht, wird schon sein. aber würde der arduino auch schaffen zusätzlich sich mit einer app steuern lassen? 3 bewegungsmelder verarbeiten können und ein dämmurungssensor? es geht um die treppenbeleuchtung. soll nach zeit geschaltet werden, aber der dämmerungssensor soll dem arduino melden das es zu hell ist und da soll es unterdrückt werden. die beleuchtung soll auf halber leuchtstärke leuchten, wenn die bewegungsmelder anschlagen. dann soll die beleuchtung heller werden. nachts soll die beleuchtung für eine minute bei bewegung angehen. also arduino soll evtl. ein lan modul bearbeiten können (um sich per app steuern zu lassen und uhrzeit aus dem netz zu holen) dann 3 bewegungsmelder bearbeiten so wie ein dämmerungssensor. würde die arduino das packen. vielen dank für die tipps. gruß was für ein led-band meinst du? grüße uwe Arduino Forum > International ...

pozdrav svima.instalirao sam joomla! comment, naravno dobio karakteristicnu gresku (instalacija je prosla ok) tipa: warning: invalid argument supplied foreach() in /home/xxx/public_html/test/components/com_comment/joscomment/properties.php on line 160 znam kako da resim ovo,nego kada editujem properties.php, pokusam da ga uploadujem na ftp server, dobijem permission denied. pokusao sam da izbrisem taj php fajl,i opet permission denied. ne znam gde gresim, kako da skinem tu zastitu, jer mi ocigledno ftp server ne da da izbrisem ili modifikujem taj falj za komponentu. jer ima leka ovome? unapred hvala p.s mnogo mi je vazno da editujem taj fajl, kako mi se navedena greska ne bi pojavljvala... pa otvori ga u dw ili notepadu ++ pa edituj. o permisijama tj. chmodovanju smo pricali vec dosta puta na forumu, izkoristi search. ja ti kazem da postavis dozvole na 777 ukratko valjda ces se snaci. kao ftp klijent koristi filezillu najbolja je za aploudovanje. pozdrav, branko Bo...

hi folks, okay, doing fresh install on computer. have been trying thunderbird 3 install, , after none of things doing worked, went , removed synap thunderbird 2 stuff, including files hidden in home folder. used terminal add ppa software sources. cool, showed in synap being installed. cool, far good, right? wrong. it? not in menu. need luanch first time , how can stay in menu, can drag awn bar? you need add it- goto system/prefs/main menu, , tick , reorder hearts delight. should show (assuming karmic works jaunty!!!) bonjour, je souhaite faire un distributeur de croquettes pour mon chat . j'ai déjà le distributeur mais un probleme d'alimentation à fait cramer le microcontroleur de gestion et forcément plus rien ne fonctionne . mon distributeur est un "le bistro" qui fonctionne en 4,5 v avec 3 piles ou avec un transfo. il possède un écran lcd de programmation , un petit moteur electrique et un contacteur de type switch pour détecter le nombre de cups qui sont distribuées , 3 microswitch qui servent à naviguer dans les menus et à valider et une led qui donne l'etat des piles . j'aimerais autant que possible réutiliser tout cet équipement et éventuellement améliorer au niveau des plages de programmation horaires, car actuellement il n'y que 3 plages , matin , midi et soir . depuis quelques années , j'ai deux modules arduino uno qui dorment car je ne suis pas très au point sur la programmation de cet bêtes la .je suis plus doué au fer à souder ;-) si quelqu...
