dear adobe developers, have encountered strange problem. open pdf file of size 16.5 mb, search trough , memory allocated starts steadily growing until fills out entire ram , virtual memory well. strange thing happens after perform search through file; if don't it, stays within normal. wondering if not memory leak of kind? use adobe reader 8.1.2 on win xp service pack 2 on celeron 1.7 ghz, 256 ddr ram, 320 gb hdd ect .. ram occupied os 100 mb there ~150mb left free. seem not enough when add them virtual memory. greetings, georgi popov, bg what virtual memory rise to? sounds if may have only 250 mb of virtual memory available (100m+150m)? does memory rise while searching, or continue rise afterwards if nothing? aandi inston More discussions in Acrobat Reader adobe

when print pdf documents using mac os 10.4 adobe reader 8.0 or 9.0, print scaled down. apparent top bottom. one of documents i'm printing scannable student answer sheets. students bubble answers , exams graded software scanning them. answer sheets have 6 registration marks around perimeter of page. when page scanned, software cannot read students' marks because out of position. looks bottom registration marks half-inch far page. i have tried printing 3 printers (2 xerox phasers & xerox workcentre networked copier) same result. i have printed same answer sheets, same file, using reader 7.0 on windows pc , scan correctly. i have tried using "none", "fit printable area" , "shrink printable area" page scaling in print dialog window. using "none" puts registration marks close edge, , other options put marks far edge. hello all, first post. for first project, want have 2 uno boards, 1 in fixed position (uno1), , 1 in variable position(uno2), , detect precise distance between them.  accuracy of couple inches fine within 10-20 foot range fine also. this how thinking of approaching it. uno1 send out radio pulse , start listening ultrasonic sound. uno2 send out ultrasonic sound upon detection of radio pulse. this sort of aviation radar "sonic return" transponder allow accurate measurement on short distances. is feasible approach? also, how send out radio pulse uno1 uno2 can detect it?  no information needs passed. thank you! larry why not use ultrasonic transducer pair? 1 sends pulses, other receives them reflected, time difference on 2 radial transit time, can converted distance, these ultrasonic modules made job , cost couple of $ Arduino Forum > Using Arduino > ...

hi, i working on project in need read state 80 momentary , toggle switches. i decided organize them in matrix. so designed pcb there 80 molex 1x2 molex connectors in 8 cols , 10 rows connect switches. each has diode , connected, prevent masking , ghosting. and contain 10x1 , 8x1 connector connect rows , cols arduino. for created prototype on perfboard 2*8 matrix. i need check switch states every loop , if state of switch has changed need send message pc on serial. wrote code uses internal pullup resistors of arduino. it works well, message twice, me means switches bouncing... the problem have no idea how correctly debounce matrix. and have no idea if idea put momentary , toggle switches in same matrix. i think debounce should done checking switch states out bit later , if state still same, not because of bouncing, cannot use delay() because other inputs , outputs should not blocked.
