i'm trying deploy acrobat reader 8 our xp professional desktops via active directory software installation (windows server 2003 domain) i have obtained msi release of reader 8, customised using adobe customization wizard 8, , deployed through ad per adobe documentation. works expected new machines without previous release of reader installed. however desktops have reader 6 or 7 installed, end 2 versions installed side side (visible in add/remove programs). reader 8 works fine @ point. removing older version causes pdf file association reader 8 created broken, internet explorer browser plugin broken. reader 8 has reinstalled manually fix issue. i have read reader automatically removes old versions of when install new version. additionally, when customising msi, "remove previous version of reader" greyed out. appears installer not removing old versions. any ideas solution? thanks lot tom fanning from deploying_reader8.pdf > installer interactions earlier versions...

hi, i discovered issue frustrating: the choice of font made in 'preferences-->commenting-->font' has identical across systems, otherwise text in comments not show correctly. assuming not fixable: is possible change font in existing comments? there seem no text formatting options beyond bold/italic/super-/subscript. seems totally inadequate me. @ least have options size , font. and assuming there way change font-- possible change font *all* preexisting comments @ once? ctrl-e should show properties toolbar allow change font More discussions in Acrobat Reader adobe

i bought arduino uno r3 yesterday. it's chinese clone. has atmega328p , mega16u2 both. i've installed ide fully. can't find ports. tools > ports option greyd out, cannot find options named "ports (com & lpt)" or "other devices" in device manager. can't upload sketch board. tried on both win7 sp1(32 bit) & win10(64 bit), installed in same pc in different partitions. i've roamed accross stackexchange no successful result. try different usb cable, ensure cable seated. try different pc (no need install ide, see if unknown device detected) - put 16u2 dfu mode , see if detected (google 16u2 dfu mode). basically few weeks ago decided try linux, in particular ubuntu. have installed in windows 7 partition willing take full plunge , switch way. issue cannot connect wireless internet. states "device not ready". wireless turned on on laptop, near source, have tried making manual connection network setup. tried hardware tester , found ethernet , wireless hardware (broadcom 802.11g network adapter). went package thing , looked broadcam. found package installed. tried manually with: sudo apt-get install bcmwl-modaliases e: not lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: resource temporarily unavailable) e: unable lock administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), process using it? heard try "sudo apt-get install bcm43xx-fwcutter" , did couldnt find it. stated before new linux i'm missing easy beg patiance learn new operating system. i had same problem when replaced windows xp on laptop ubuntu 9.04...

when click on media, box - "importing file removable media" appears, asking me click on media download button. once done, message appears stating "no valid files found" pl you don't kind of file (audio? video?) , source (a commercial dvd? home-burned dvd?), may help: the default settings of media downloader set not show audio. see audio media clips need click on show audio button or press ctrl + u on keyboard. watch out, media downloader re-check files when , need uncheck again! hello everyone! just want rc3 fix lots of issues experiencing while running rc2. great work joomla team! hope see of saturday @ linux expo. now, if running rc2 , want upgrade rc3 process simple. long did manual install of rc2 in business. after downloading zip package, extracted contents of file folder called j oomla-1.5rc3 using winrar. main folder joomla-1.5rc3 removed installation folder. hope haven't lost yet. ready upload joomla rc3. before uploading files: 1)backup database (recommended) 2) backup configuration.php file since need file since has important information site i.e. database name, password etc. 3) backup template if have customer one. located in /template folder. after you've done of above, can either use filezilla , simple overwrite files transferring joomla-1.5rc3 website or delete files except configuration.php , .htaccess if using one. if delete files, make sure make copy of custom template , place joomla-1.5rc3/templates/ automatically uploaded files...

jeg trenger noen som kan sette opp arduino fysisk på min pc. er hjertelig lei av feilmeldinger og kryptiske log-filer. har puslet med data siden 1980-tallet, og er langt fra blank på programmering, men slike startproblemer tar knekken på meg. jeg vil ha systemet "plug , play"! bruker windows 7, har også et par program som krever tidligere versjoner av windows. de kan kjøres virtuelt under 7, men jeg har ikke funnet den muligheten under senere oppdateringer. derfor holder jeg meg til 7eren.
