hi guys 1 doing head in. i have project involves having multiple arduino nanos connected each other via softserial. have been connecting pc them @ same time via usb , selecting each serial port number upload , test code. has worked fine while , have been uploading testing , switching between arduino connections via serial usb no problems. but yesterday ran , without changing of code started noticing debug serial output showing garbage characters , big gaps of space @ random. hitting reset button had varying results. random io pins turn one. pin 13 led may stuck on. have button may or may not register me pressing it. 1 device work bit wouldn't , vice versa. on place , extremely unstable. i thought maybe somehow there problem serial communication getting corrupted when uploading , viewing output. have tried different usb ports on pc , replaced cables , usb hub not change. what going on? without seeing program(s) can tell? if have more 2 nano's conne...

an 11x17 pdf prints correctly 3 different computers in our office. prints incorrectly computer, our client's computer in different office. although pdf looks fine on screen in adobe reader, print scales larger (or smaller) supposed be, causing unnecessary cropping (or white space) in printed image. the computers able print correctly sent pdf same printer computer did. also, @ least 1 of these computers has same version of adobe reader mine (7.0), , using same exact print settings when sending printer: choose paper source pdf size checked. page scaling set none. i not know reader version or settings of client's computer. i not know if matters, pdf created through autocad using adobe plotter creates pdf of layout/paperspace. what can possibly account radical differences in prints same pdf? hello everyone, want fresh install of lynx when time comes. have never migrated back-up of previous releases'/home. have karmic's /home on its' own partition , configure /home partition lynx. plan use rsync/grsync save karmic's /home on external usb drive. so, able migrate in karmic's /home lynx's /home using rysnc, external hard drive? or, wishful thinking? there "best practice" way, migrate /home partition new release fresh install? links can forward this, helpful. thanks. i've moved /home several times, , it's easy. when install select /home partition , "edit" it. chose fs type , mount point, making sure "format" unchecked. being said, there slight possibility app may change it's config settings, cause settings not work. i've been migrating settings 2.5 years , have never had problem. have not heard incompatibilities in 10.04...

hi, in order customize grub menu entries, i've tried edit file grub.cfg (the old "menu.lst" in ubuntu 9.04) path /boot/grub/ problem seems impossible me modify file, root permissions??!! on terminal did: code: sudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg gedit opens but, when tried save file, after changes (overwriting old version)an error message appears telling read-only file , cannot modified. there's me understand why i'm not able change config file? in advance alex have here , may have seen notice @ top of grub.cfg, aren't supposed edit directly. if want edit grub.cfg ignoring warning, make backup copy first. have change permissions of grub.cfg edit it. once finished edit make sure change permission originally. original permissions 444, set them 777 , should have 0 problems editing file. remeber: you should heed warning @ top of file ...

utilizo arruino nano conectado un ad9850 generador de señal. los datos de paso de frecuencia los ingreso través de un encoder . quiero que el encoder según la velocidad de giro pase de décima unidad y cierto tiempo de giro decena y después centena. o sea giro rapido : cambia hertz, dos segundos :cambia kilohertz ,dos segundos cambia megahertz. sin dejar de girar en velocidad alta.  si giro en velocidad baja no haga el cambio de unidad sea en cualquiera que esté si pase de hertz kilohertz y giro lento que no cambie megahertz o hertz se quede cambiando en kilohertz y después de dejar 2 segundos reinicie la medida más baja hertz si alguien tiene una idea como hacer la programación de giro y cambio de unidades en el encoder se los agradezco el enconder cuenta pasos, asi que tantos pasos por segundo será tu velocidad dada en pasos/seg establece cual es el limite o umbral para una cosa u otra y tienes casi todo tu programa en marcha. supongamos que lees alg...

buonasera tutti ho recentemente acquistato una stazione meteo wireless (433mhz) sul terrazzo funziona, ma sul tetto il segnale è troppo debole. volevo chiedere se utilizzando un modulo tx e uno rx 433mhz + arduino è possibile costruire un ripetitore. il segnale viene troppo disturbato? moduli in mio possesso sono questi: grazie mille! di che stazione meteo si tratta? perché se è una stazione che trasmette dati meteo periodicamente, e l'intervallo fra una trasmissione e l'altra è sufficientemente lungo (secondi), allora è fattibile, anche se nutro forti dubbi sulla portata e l'efficienza di quei modulini. ciao, p. salve tutti! ho un problema di alimentazione ed un progetto abbastanza grande quindi cerco di suddividere il tutto per rendervi più facile la lettura... problema: ho un arduino mega cinese che ultimamente mi sta dando dei problemi di alimentazione, ovvero pin digitali non erogano più la giusta corrente. misurando col tester ho circa 3,5 v, insufficienti per attivare relè collegati... il progetto: uso arduino in un mini impianto di domotica confinato alla mia stanza. normalmente gestisce gli ingressi, luci, prese e un terrario. sono quindi collegati ad arduino mega: chip rfid, tastierino numerico, 2 lcd 20*4, arduino nano, 2 sensori di movimento, uno di temperatura, 5 relè, una fotoresistenza, buzzer, 2 rgb e 2 led e qualche tasto. il programma è interamente scritto da me, ve lo risparmio visto che si tratta di 1700 righe di codice  :d e il tutto, parte il problema scritto sopra, gira perfettamente h24. informazioni - alimentazione arduino: per stupidità il primo alimentat...
